Ingredients
  

  • 10 garlic cloves
  • 32 ounce(s) red potatoes
  • 2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/2 cup(s) skim milk
  • 2 cup(s) half and half
  • 1 dash(es) pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • Place the garlic on a sheet of aluminum foil and wrap tightly.
  • Roast for about 30 minutes.
  • and then unwrap.
  • Peel and dice potatoes.
  • Place in a large saucepan, add the salt and cover with water.
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and then reduce to maintain a rolling boil.
  • Cook for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and drain.
  • Heat the milk, half-and-half in a medium saucepan over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large saucepan, combine the potatoes and the roasted garlic, cream mixture, salt and pepper.
  • Mash with a potato masher.
  • Serve warm.
