Turkey Sloppy Joes
Can the canned sloppy Joes mix and mix up your own healthy version! It's a neat twist on an old favorite. These sloppy Joes are a hot mess... in the best way possible.

- 24 ounce(s) lean ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 4 floz water
- 1 cup(s) ketchup
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 9 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
- 3 tablespoon(s) red wine vinegar
- 3/4 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/3 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese
In a large skillet brown the ground turkey over medium-high heat.
Add in the garlic, onions, and peppers and cook until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
Make sure to drain fat out from meat from the pan.
Add the water, ketchup, brown sugar, and red wine vinegar.
Stir until combined and add cumin and pepper.
Turn heat down to low and simmer uncovered for another 15 minutes.
Place some turkey mixture over the hamburger buns and place cheese over the meat.
Serve and enjoy!.
