- 3 cup(s) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) crushed red-pepper flakes
- 1 dash(es) salt
- 1 package penne
- 1/2 floz vodka
- 1/4 cup(s) half and half
- 2 tablespoon(s) basil
- 1/2 tablespoon(s) Parmesan Cheese
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the oil,Add garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring frequently.
Add the tomatoes and salt.
Raise the heat and bring sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Cook the penne according to the package directions.
Set aside.
Add the vodka and half-and-half and bring the sauce to a boil.
Toss the sauce with the pasta and garnish with basil and Parmesan.
Serve.
