Ingredients
  

  • 3 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 2 cup(s) unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3/4 teaspoon(s) cloves
  • 4 tablespoon(s) Smart Balance Heart Right Light Buttery Spread
  • 1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, combine the potatoes, unsweetend applesauce, cinnmaon stick, and cloves.
  • Add water to barely cover the potatoes.
  • Partially cover the pot and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
  • Drain and place the potatoes in a large bowl.
  • Discard cinnamon stick.
  • Add light butter spread to skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Stir in the ground cinnamon, salt, and ground cloves.
  • Pour the mixture over the potatoes and mash to the desired consistency.
  • Serve.
