Carrot and Fig Salad
Figs meet carrots. Carrots meet figs. Together, these perfectly complement each other in this side salad. Lemon juice and brown sugar make a gourmet glaze that will be kid-tested, parent-approved.

- 6 carrots, medium
- 1 cup(s) black figs
- 1 lemon
- 2 oranges, to taste
- 1/4 cup(s) brown sugar
- 1 dash(es) salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoon(s) poppy seeds
Shred carrots finely in a food processor.
Then place in a serving bowl.
Place figs in the bowl with carrots.
Squeeze the lemon juice onto carrots and figs.
Mix brown sugar with carrots and figs.
Add salt and poppy seeds to the salad, stir and mix.
Store in the refrigerator then serve when ready.
