
Turkey Bacon Creamed Spinach
Popeye would have been fighting people left and right for a taste of this turkey-topped spinach. A creamy, dreamy side dish, it incorporates one of the healthiest veggies around to make for a scrumptious side.
Ingredients
- 3 extra lean turkey bacon slices
- 1/2 cup(s) yellow onion, chopped
- 2 10 oz packages spinach
- 4 tablespoon(s) light cream cheese
- 1 dash(es) salt
- 1 dash(es) pepper
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon for 8 minutes.
- Transfer to a paper towl and drain off any excess fat.
- Add the onion and cook until softened.
- Add the spinach and toss.
- Add the cream cheese, and salt and pepper.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat about 10 minutes.
- Add turkey bacon over the spinach and serve.
