
Spicy Broccoli
Talk about flower power. Broccoli can be a versatile side when you expand your horizons. Kick things up a notch with a spicy rendition of this popular veggie.
Ingredients
- 6 cup(s) broccoli, chopped
- 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) chili powder
- 1 teaspoon(s) soy sauce
- 1/3 tablespoon(s) apple cider vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) grated lime zest
Instructions
- Steam the broccoli in a steamer insert set over boiling water, covered.
- Cook 3 to 5 minutes.
- Transfer broccoli to a large bowl and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium-low heat for about 1 minute.
- Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in chili powder, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot pepper sauce and cloves.
- Add the broccoli to the skillet and toss together.
- Sprinkle with the lime zest and serve.
