Ingredients
  

  • 3 potatoes. peeled
  • 1 tablespoon(s) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic, cloves
  • 1 cup(s) carrots, chopped
  • 16 ounce(s) extra lean ground turkey
  • 3/4 cup(s) vegetable broth
  • 1/8 cup(s) whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup(s) peas
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon(s) ketchup
  • 1/2 cup(s) almond milk
  • 1/4 cup(s) reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • In a large pot bring water to a boil.
  • Add potatoes and cook about 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat a large skillet with oil.
  • Saute onions, garlic and carrots until tender.
  • Add turkey and cook until well browned.
  • Drain turkey and return to the hot skillet.
  • Add broth, flour, green peas, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove potatoes from boiling water.
  • Mash with milk and cheese.
  • In a 9 x 13 casserole dish layer and press meat mixture into the bottom of the pan evenly.
  • Then spread the mashed potato mixture on the top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Serve.
