
Marvelous Baked Macaroni
Return of the mac — mac and cheese. We have assembled a healthy rendition of this favorite comfort food. Enjoy this scrumptious side with the protein of your choice. You’ll see why it’s a staple.
Ingredients
- 1 cooking spray
- 3 tablespoon(s) egg substitute
- 2/3 cup(s) skim milk
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) paprika
- 4 tablespoon(s) parsley
- 1 tablespoon(s) onions, chopped
- 1 cup(s) reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 2 tablespoon(s) parmesan
- 1 cup(s) bread crumbs
- 4 ounce(s) elbow macaroni
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Cook until al dente.
- Do not overcook.
- Drain it.
- Use cooking spray to grease a baking dish and put cooked macaroni in it.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg substitute, milk, paprika, parsley, onion, salt and pepper.
- Pour this mixture over the macaroni.
- Sprinkle the top with parmesan and breadcrumbs.
- Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- Serve hot.
