
Thai Fried Sweet Chili Cauliflower Bites
Oh, Thai I love you! Sweet chili cauliflower bites are an obvious appetizer choice when cooking up some Thai food. These crunchy, bite-sized cauliflower pieces will melt in your mouth leaving a sweet and tangy taste.
Ingredients
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 cup(s) panko bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 2 tablespoon(s) Thai sweet chili sauce
Instructions
- Wash and cut cauliflower into popcorn sized pieces.
- Steam for 8-10 minutes until tender, but not mushy.
- Drain and place in large bowl.
- Crack egg in a small bowl and beat egg.
- In a medium sized bowl, add bread crumbs and garlic.
- Piece by piece dip cauliflower into egg and then into bread mixture, try to evenly coat cauliflower with breading.
- Place oil in to a skillet and warm over medium heat.
- Once Oil is sizzling, fry cauliflower bites, add sweet chili sauce to them while they are in the pan.
- Once evenly golden brown on the outside, place on plate with paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Serve and enjoy.
