
Best Broccoli Spice
The health benefits of broccoli have long been touted. Well, here’s a fresh approach to spicing up this popular vegetable. Talk about flower power.
Ingredients
- 16 ounce(s) broccoli, cut into small pieces
- 1 teaspoon(s) grapeseed oil
- 1 teaspoon(s) grated garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
Instructions
- Steam the broccoli until tender.
- Place the oil and garlic in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and cook for 1 minute.
- Add cumin, coriander, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves and salt.
- Cook for 10 seconds.
- Add the broccoli and cook for 20 seconds, mixing gently until the spices are evenly distributed.
- Serve on top of rice.
