
Super Delicious Sesame Shrimp
The only thing stirring in your kitchen tonight should be this sesame shrimp dish. Far healthier than traditional takeout, this simple meal is easy to prepare and healthy to boot. Shrimply irresistible.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon(s) teriyaki sauce
- 1 floz white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
- 16 ounce(s) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup(s) carrots, chopped
- 1/2 cup(s) onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup(s) celery, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 ounce(s) sesame seeds
- 2 cup(s) whole grain brown rice
Instructions
- In a resealable bag combine the teriyaki sauce, white wine, garlic powder and shrimp.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.
- Cook rice according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
- Saute the carrot, onion, celery and garlic in the oil for about 5 minutes.
- Drain marinade and discard.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, until shrimp turn pink.
- Add the sesame seeds.
- Serve hot over rice.
