Simple Tuna Salad

The simplest dishes sometimes are the most enjoyable. Try this lightened-up version of classic tuna salad. A deli favorite without the extra fat and calories.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 ounce(s) water-packed tuna fish (2-5 oz. cans)
  • 2 tablespoon(s) light mayonnaise (add more if you desire)
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cucumber, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cucumber, finely chopped
  • 1 shallots, minced
  • 1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt, to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Open cans of tuna and drain out all of the liquid.
  • In a small bowl, combine tuna meat, light mayonnaise, celery, cucumber, shallot, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir, using a fork, for your desired consistency.
  • Add more mayonnaise for a creamier salad.
