Marvelous Spaghetti and Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 3 garlic, cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup(s) onions, chopped
  • 2 1/2 cup(s) Italian peeled tomatoes
  • 6 cup(s) finely chopped anchovies
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) oregano
  • 1 tablespoon(s) parsley
  • 1 tablespoon(s) fresh basil sprig
  • 1/2 package spaghetti
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Romano cheese

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a skillet and saute garlic.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat saute garlic and onion in oil.
  • Add tomatoes.
  • Stir in anchovies, oregano, and parsley.
  • Place basil sprig, including stem, on the surface.
  • Let it wilt and then submerge in the sauce.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook pasta according to directions.
  • Pour sauce over spaghetti and sprinkle with Romano cheese.
  • Serve warm.
