
Marvelous Spaghetti and Marinara Sauce
Forget spaghetti o’s and make the kids cheer for this pasta and marinara sauce. Quick and easy are the name of this game. Prefect for any busy weeknight.
Ingredients
- 3 garlic, cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup(s) onions, chopped
- 2 1/2 cup(s) Italian peeled tomatoes
- 6 cup(s) finely chopped anchovies
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) oregano
- 1 tablespoon(s) parsley
- 1 tablespoon(s) fresh basil sprig
- 1/2 package spaghetti
- 2 teaspoon(s) Romano cheese
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet and saute garlic.
- In a large skillet over medium heat saute garlic and onion in oil.
- Add tomatoes.
- Stir in anchovies, oregano, and parsley.
- Place basil sprig, including stem, on the surface.
- Let it wilt and then submerge in the sauce.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cook pasta according to directions.
- Pour sauce over spaghetti and sprinkle with Romano cheese.
- Serve warm.
