Homemade Bread

Bypass the bakery in favor of your own home-baked bread. Slice it whatever way you want. It’s the perfect way to introduce your family to fresh baking.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 18 floz warm water
  • 9 teaspoon(s) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon(s) salt
  • 2 tablespoon(s) canola oil
  • 6 3/4 cup(s) wheat flour

Instructions
 

  • Dissolve yeast in a bowl of warm water.
  • Add sugar, salt.
  • and oil and 3 cups of flour, then stir until smooth.
  • Add in remaining flour, 0.
  • 5-cup at a time, until a dough forms.
  • Place dough onto a floured surface and knead until dough is smooth and elastic.
  • This may take about 8-10 minutes.
  • Place dough into a prepared bowl, turning over to ensure top of dough gets coated.
  • Cover and let rise in a warm place until it is doubled.
  • This should take about 1.
  • 5 hours.
  • Punch dough down.
  • Place dough onto a floured surface and cut in half.
  • Place each dough into a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan and mold dough.
  • Cover and let rise again until doubled.
  • This should take another 30-45 minutes.
  • 0Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for until bread is 3golden brown or for 30-35 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Slice.
