Healthy Chicken Pesto Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounce(s) whole wheat bow tie pasta
  • 1 teaspoon(s) olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 organic boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
  • 5 1/4 tablespoon(s) sun dried tomatoes in oil, drained and sliced
  • 1/2 cup(s) reduced fat pesto sauce

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil adding some salt to the water.
  • Add pasta to the boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes or until al dente.
  • Drain pasta.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat warm oil.
  • Saute garlic until tender.
  • Stir in chicken pieces.
  • Season with red pepper flakes.
  • Cook until chicken is golden brown and cook through.
  • In a large serving bowl toss pasta, chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto together until evenly combined.
  • Serve immediately.
