It’s time to get down to the nitty-gritty. Literally. These gourmet grits are the best from North to South. Prepared dairy free, we promise they are sure to start the morning or evening off right.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup(s) almond milk or non-dairy milk of your choice
  • 3/4 cup(s) coconut cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon(s) maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt, divided
  • 1/2 cup(s) quick-cooking grits
  • 1 dash(es) pepper
  • 1/2 cup(s) blueberries

Instructions
 

  • Bring non-dairy milk, coconut cream, syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat.
  • Slowly whisk in grits, reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Stir, remaining salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook, stirring occasionally until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Top with fresh blueberries.
  • Serve hot.
  • in shredded cheese, salt and pepper, and continue stirring until cheese is melted throughout.
